# Paket Repositories

Linux dağıtımlarında yazılımların yüklenmesi paketler aracılığıyla yapılır. Bu paketler nasıl bilgisayarımıza ulaşıyor?

Her paketin kendi indirme sayfasına gidip tek tek indirmek zorunda değilsiniz. Bunun yerine paket depoları (repositories) kullanılır. Paket depoları, paketlerin merkezi olarak depolandığı yerlerdir. İnternet üzerinde birçok paket deposu bulunur ve en güzel yanı kurulum disklerine ihtiyaç duyulmamasıdır.

Bilgisayarınız, siz ona söylemediğiniz sürece bu depoları nereden bulacağını bilemez.

Örneğin, bilgisayarınıza WackyWidgets Yazılımını kurmak istediğinizi düşünelim. WackyWidgets, widget paketleri için kendi depolarını yönetir. Bu depoda CoolWidget paketi, SuperWidget paketi vb. gibi birçok paket bulunur. WackyWidgets bu deponuzu şu kaynak bağlantısında barındırır: <http://download.widgets/linux/deb/>

Artık paketi doğrudan web sitesinden indirmek yerine, bilgisayarınıza WackyWidgets yazılımını kaynak bağlantısından bulmasını söyleyebilirsiniz.

Dağıtımınız, paket almak için önceden onaylanmış kaynaklarla birlikte gelir ve sisteminizde gördüğünüz tüm temel paketleri bu şekilde yükler. Debian sistemlerinde bu kaynak dosyası /etc/apt/sources.list dosyasıdır. Bilgisayarınız, buraya bakacak ve eklediğiniz herhangi bir kaynak deposunu kontrol edecektir.
